in the far reaches of the northern hemisphere, lies a place that i'll admit, i was not terribly interested in visiting. iceland's rising popularity amongst the "tourists" left me feeling lukewarm about the mention of it. my brother asked me to come along and i couldn't refuse a sibling trip. much to my surprise and own ignorance, the land of fire and ice both figuratively and literally blew me away and had me speechless more than once. the numerous waterfalls, glorious glacier beaches, endless lava fields and dramatic black sand left me yearning for more and my photographer's brain in overdrive.
not for the faint of heart, but worth a visit for those daring for something dynamic.
